Oh yes!  That “sorting time” is absolutely critical, and I do find it extremely hard to be expressive “on the spot.”  I just freeze up and my mind goes blank.  For the record, I hate that.  I even forget the answers I tried to have prepared in advance so I’d be ready if I ever got put on the spot.  *sigh*
