For Your Viewing Pleasure
Shows we liked
On Netflix
Atypical: A show about an autistic young man trying to navigate life, and his family. My husband loved this show. He really connected with the main character. Funny, engaging, thoughtful. It shows that even though a single member of a family might be autistic, the whole family is impacted in different ways. Complete at the end of 3 seasons, but it has been renewed for a 4th and apparently final. Some scenes are more mature.
The Sinner: Wow was this one well done! Amazing acting and story arcs. Not a “whodunnit” but “why?” Both seasons self-contained but I hear it’s been renewed for a 3rd. We binged each season in a single night, it was that good. Some mature content.
Glitch: Great little series out of Australia. People are climbing out of their graves in this little Australian town, but why? The diseases that killed them are gone, as are most of their memories. They are scared and confused and don’t know what’s happened to them, they don’t even know they were dead. Definitely not zombies, and not horror.
The OA: This one was really fascinating. It got canceled after the 2nd season, and ended on kind of a cliffhanger, but it’s worth it to watch. Kind of adult themes, some sexual content.
The Killing: This is from a few years ago but was done well. Netflix picked it up after it got canceled on cable. The first season it a gut-wrenching whodunnit.

As for that You can watch ‘Star Trek: Picard’ for free right now thanks to Patrick Stewart, It’s worth it if you like Star Trek. Both Picard and Discovery were really well done. I had my doubts going in, about both shows, but they won me over. And the theme song from Discovery is epic, btw.

A husband and wife were driving through Louisiana. As they approached Natchitoches, they started arguing about the pronunciation of the town. They argued back and forth, then they stopped for lunch.
At the counter, the husband asked the blonde waitress, “Before we order, could you please settle an argument for us? Would you please pronounce where we are very slowly?”
She leaned over the counter and said, “Burrr-gerrr Kiiing.”

This one cracked me up. I can totally see me and my husband doing the exact same thing.

What Kind of Storm Are You?
You Are a Blizzard

A client bought a new home and the broker wanted to send flowers for the occasion.
They arrived at the home and the owner read the card; it said “Rest in Peace”
The owner was angry and called the florist to complain. After he had told the florist of the obvious mistake and how angry he was, the florist said. “Sir, I’m really sorry for the mistake, but rather than getting angry you should imagine this. Somewhere there is a funeral taking place today, and they have flowers with a note saying, “Congratulations on your new home”.

Knock, Knock
Three brothers age 92, 94 and 96 live in a house together.
One night the 96 year old draws a bath, puts his foot in and pauses. He yells down the stairs, “Was I getting in or out of the bath?”
The 94 year old yells back, “I don’t know, I’ll come up and see.” He starts up the stairs and pauses, then he yells, “Was I going up the stairs or coming down?”
The 92 year old was sitting at the kitchen table having coffee and listening to his brothers. He shakes his head and says, “I sure hope I never get that forgetful.” He knocks on wood for good luck. He then yells, ” I’ll come up and help both of you as soon as I see whose at the door.”
